Situado en el paseo mar\u00edtimo de Helsinki, alberga la sede de Stora Enso y un hotel, utilizando 7.600 m\u00b3 de abeto en CLT, madera laminada encolada y LVL. El edificio est\u00e1 cuidadosamente dise\u00f1ado para complementar la vecina sede de Stora Enso, obra de Alvar Aalto.<\/p>\n\n<p>Una caracter\u00edstica definitoria del proyecto es su larga fachada doble curvada, dise\u00f1ada para resistir las duras condiciones mar\u00edtimas. La complejidad de la fachada fue desarrollada por <a href=\"https:\/\/geometria.fi\/\">Geometria Architecture<\/a>, por encargo de Haka Pks Oy, mediante un avanzado modelado computacional de dise\u00f1o y fabricaci\u00f3n. Se dividi\u00f3 en cientos de elementos prefabricados, cada uno de los cuales resolv\u00eda la transici\u00f3n geom\u00e9trica entre una estructura de madera recta y un exterior de curvas suaves.<\/p>\n\n<p>El flujo de trabajo se bas\u00f3 en Rhino y Grasshopper, con la ayuda de scripts y herramientas espec\u00edficas para cada tarea, como VisualARQ para la gesti\u00f3n de datos BIM, junto con c\u00f3digo Python personalizado.
