VisualARQ in SIGraDi 2013

SIGraDi 2013 Univeridad Técnica Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile Workshops: 18th-19th November 2013 Conferences: 20th-22nd November 2013 The Department of Architecture of Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María will host the XVII Congress of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics, SIGraDi, to be held from November 20th to 22nd. SIGraDi organizes one of five international annual conferences on Computer Aided Design (CAD) in Architecture and Design. This year SIGraDi has more than 130 presentations by scholars from Latin America, North America and Europe. The days before the conference, November 18th and 19th, there will be a series of workshops open to academics, students and professionals. VisualARQ Workshop: From 3D to 2D: Unfolding Architecture (WS4) This workshop is aimed at students and professionals interested in the production of architectural 3D models in the context of Building Information Modeling (BIM). The goal is to manage form-finding and project deliverables in a fast and effective way by using VisualARQ plugin for Rhino and V-Ray for Rhino rendering engine. The workshop focuses on Rhinoceros modeling capabilities and its many advantages. It is based on the BIM features added to Rhinoceros, and how we can take advantage from the 3D model for the production of 2D drawings, tables with detailed information of the model, and the management and printing of these documents.
